“Cold Night, Middle of Winter” — Soft Vein Shares Intimate Tour Rehearsal Video for “Another Summer”

Soft Vein’s Justin Chamberlain has released a rehearsal video for “Another Summer,” a single showing the project moving toward new wave and synthpop territory influenced by mid-1980s Peter Gabriel and Robert Palmer. The track treats cyclical time and romantic memory with skepticism, emphasizing distance between recurrence and actual recovery. Filmmaker Cameron Noel Dunbar captured Chamberlain and his live band during a rehearsal session, layering the footage with psychedelic visual effects—doubled faces, drifting equipment, color smears—to mirror the song’s preoccupation with desire and repetition while preserving the immediacy of ensemble preparation. The video accompanies Chamberlain’s upcoming tour dates.
