Bauhaus’s ‘Drink the New Wine’ arrives as a limited vinyl single on 30 October

Cleopatra Records will release Bauhaus’s “Drink the New Wine” as a limited 12-inch vinyl single on 30 October 2026. The track, recorded by the four band members separately during COVID-19 lockdown using the “exquisite corpse” method, was first released digitally in March 2022 as the band’s first new song since 2008’s “Go Away White.” The vinyl comes in three hand-numbered, etched color variants capped at 150 copies each for a total of 450. Daniel Ash described the track as representative of the band’s playful side. This marks the first physical format release of the song. The band’s 2019 reunion ended in April 2023 after Peter Murphy’s rehab admission forced cancellation of their North American tour, with surviving members returning to Love and Rockets.
