Subject Sue presses debut EP ‘Details in the Dark’ to vinyl on Avant!

Subject Sue, an Amsterdam-based artist, is releasing her debut EP “Details in the Dark” on limited vinyl through Avant!, an EBM and dark electro label, on 21 October 2026. The six-track EP features “Details in the Dark”, “Hides”, “Way Too Much”, “Treat”, “Under My Skin” and “Cry”. The music combines EBM, dark electro, industrial and minimal synth with pulsating synthesizers, textured soundscapes and layered vocal harmonies, drawing from darkwave and ethereal techno. Subject Sue is the solo project of a vocalist and keyboard player who studied Visual Arts and previously performed in other projects. The EP explores themes of desire, identity and nightlife through cinematic club music influenced by Amsterdam’s queer nightlife, addressing lust, romance, intimacy and alienation. Videos for the title track and “Under My Skin” have already been released.
