Italian neoclassical darkwave and dark folk ensemble Ataraxia will release the single “Alabaster” on 6 May 2026, serving as a precursor to their 30th studio album “Sylfaera the Fair” arriving 21 May 2026 via The Circle Music in multiple formats including limited deluxe editions. The track follows earlier singles “Sylfaera” and “Llawarra” and completes a trilogy begun with “Pomegranate (The Chant of the Elementals)” in 2022 and continued by “Centaurea” in 2024. Lyrically, “Alabaster” depicts a warrior-shaman connected to wolves and northern mountains, bridging physical and spiritual realms. The composition features vocalist Francesca Nicoli, guitarist and bouzouki player Vittorio Vandelli, keyboardist Giovanni Pagliari, and guest musician Gregorio Bellodi on uilleann pipes. Director Wampyrion crafted an official music video, with the single available for pre-save across major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal.
