Chiron – A Dark Beauty (Digital/CD Album – Dark Vinyl Records)

Chiron, an Australian band led by Michael Aliani with bassist Dino Molinaro and guitarist Ivan Bullock, released their album “A Dark Beauty” on Dark Vinyl Records. The nine-track album plus four remixes blend Dark-Wave and Post-Punk influences, evoking Joy Division with dark and melancholic atmospheres. Guitar elements incorporate psychedelic touches while synth adds melodic dimension. Guest contributions include Yvette Winkler on the final track and Kriistal Ann on remixes that lean toward Electro and club-oriented sounds. The reviewer rated it 8/10. Chiron formed in Melbourne in 1997 after Aliani left Ikon, releasing albums including “Eve” (1999), “Slipping Away” (2005), and “We Own the Night” (2015). The 2022 album “The Sun Goes Down” marked their move to Dark Vinyl Records.
