Melanculia return with Nino Sable album ‘post mortem’

Melanculia, the solo project of German musician Nino Sable from the Ruhr region, announces its fifth studio album ‘post mortem’, arriving May 15, 2026 via noot moon records. The 14-track full-length represents the project’s first release since ‘Seventh Circle’ in 2018 and was entirely written, performed, and produced by Sable in Essen. Available as digital and limited 200-copy digipak editions, the album blends minimal arrangements with emotional intensity, combining 130 bpm acoustic riffs and spectral organs into expansive choruses. Sable describes it as resurrection music reflecting the industrial landscape of his native Ruhr valley. The release follows the single ‘Sunboat Ascension’. Sable is also vocalist for Aeon Sable, a collaborative project formed in 2010 that has released eight albums since inception.
