Paeplo releases debut album ‘Φαντάσματα στη Χάνδακος’

Paeplo, a Greek-language synthpunk and darkwave project led by Cretan musician Manos S., has unveiled its debut album ‘Φαντάσματα στη Χάνδακος’ (Ghosts on Chandakos Street). The ten-track record blends synthpunk, darkwave, cold wave, EBM, and industrial elements with Greek vocals, exploring urban deterioration, failed romance, and nocturnal aimlessness through references to specific Cretan streets. Manos S., classically trained as a cellist, directs the project toward electronic songwriting with distorted synthesizers and drum machines. Collaborating with Jim the Blaster from the EBM/dark electro act PreEmptive Strike 0.1, both based in Crete, the duo released the album digitally via their Bandcamp and physically through Decayed Knighthood, a Greece-rooted label specializing in ambient, synth punk, and experimental noise.
