Pigface and Genesis P-Orridge archival LP ‘The Howler: An English Breakfast’ gets first vinyl release

Pigface, the Chicago industrial rock supergroup founded by Martin Atkins and William Rieflin, will release the archival LP “The Howler: An English Breakfast” on May 29, 2026 via Overdrive/Invisible Records. Recorded in 1996/97 at Atkins’ Chicago studio during the period surrounding Pigface’s 1997 album “A New High in Low,” the project features Genesis P-Orridge on vocals, Mick Harris contributing bass source material, and Atkins on drums, loops, and tape delays. The four-track album showcases P-Orridge’s spoken-word performance over dub-based compositions incorporating sitar and looped elements. The vinyl release includes multiple editions: standard black vinyl, deluxe variants, and a limited 330-copy blue vinyl with exclusive 43-minute mix, 3D glasses, and reproduced original fax booklet. Tom Whittaker remastered the material. Notably, the original session text pages were recovered from trash years later by Atkins’ drum technician Jim.
