Chicago-based industrial rock collective The Joy Thieves has released a music video for “No Anchor,” featuring vocalist Chris Connelly from Finittribe, Revolting Cocks, and Ministry. The track appears on their forthcoming album “Apocalypse Pending,” scheduled for June 5, 2026 via Armalyte Industries. The video was directed by Joel Lopez with contributions from multiple collaborators. Connelly’s lyrics explore themes of moral dissolution and societal disconnection, while composer Dan Milligan deliberately employed discordant, off-kilter guitar work that avoids resolution, creating an intentionally unsettling sonic atmosphere. The album will be distributed as a digital release and limited-edition 300-copy digipack CD. Produced and engineered at Populist Recording in Illinois, “Apocalypse Pending” follows The Joy Thieves’ prolific output since their 2017 formation by drummer Dan Milligan, continuing their collaborative industrial sound with musicians connected to prominent alternative and industrial acts.
