WL//WH Video of the Day: STATUS SET “Destroy All Evidence”

Status Set, a New York post-punk four-piece formed six years ago as UV-TV drummer Ian Rose’s bedroom solo project, has released a debut single titled “Destroy All Evidence” alongside a music video. The track combines punk energy with new-wave aesthetics and power-pop hooks, featuring Rose’s Tom Verlaine-influenced vocals over jagged guitar work and propulsive rhythms. The band recently expanded to a full lineup with the addition of Chapel Hill native Anders Newgard on drums. The video, directed by Rosa Martinez with cinematography by Vibexvisuals and art direction by Michael Younker, pairs the performance with vintage science footage to complement the song’s thematic interest in obscured history.
