New Jersey instrumental post-punk and shoegaze band Deardarkhead have unveiled “Letting Go” as the debut single and accompanying music video from their forthcoming second full-length album, “The Pendulum Swings,” scheduled for July 10 release across CD, digital, and 180-gram vinyl formats via their independent Fertile Crescent Records. The instrumental composition, featuring guitar work, bass lines, and keyboard contributions from renowned keyboardist Joe McGinty (known for collaborations with The Psychedelic Furs and other notable artists), explores themes of personal transformation and directional change. The ten-track album was recorded at Philadelphia’s Miner Street Recordings with production by Brian McTear and Amy Morrissey. Deardarkhead, formed in 1988 in Atlantic City, has operated as an instrumental ensemble since their vocalist departed in 2009. Their musical journey spans multiple releases since the late 1980s, with recent catalog management through Saint Marie Records.
